less than 24 hours have passed
since I wrote the post based on
these verses...
they take on deeper meaning still
I am reminded once again
peace does not come from without
no...peace comes only from withing
and only if Jesus is within
bones break
fragile parents age
fragile parents pass away
peace from without
exists not
children grow up
move into college
letting go
to let them grow
peace from without
exists not
He never promised peace
from circumstances
from people
from things
no....He promised peace perfect
from His heart alone
trusting that all is in His hands
trusting that He makes no mistakes
trusting that the hands
which created mountains rugged
oceans vast
wildflower clinging to cliff
desert creatures
sun moon stars
the hands which
were nailed to a cross
are the very hands on which
my name is engraved
those hands hold my heart
no matter how fierce the storm
peace. perfect peace. shalom. shalom.
