each detail
each intricacy
each circumstance
has been written into
each person's life song
by the hand of God
at times the melody soars
through the heavens
shimmering with joy
grace notes
fall
in exquisite drops of mercy
at times that same melody
lies subdued
close to earth
notes
dropping
as rain
we search
we ask
why
what could be the reason
why must a beautiful song
be interrupted
why must a life song
suddenly change into a minor key
with harmonies making the heart weep
yet how would we know
that the joy is joyful if the rain never fell
how would we know it was spring if winter never came
we may never know the reasons
we may never understand the flow of the
movements in our life songs
yet we can still sing
for each life song is
a gift to treasure
to nurture
to share
for it is only as the individual
melodies intertwine
in love
in unity
in forgiveness
that the true beauty of His composition
can be heard
in the orchestra
of life
