"for our present troubles are
small and won't last very long
yet they produce for us a glory
that vastly outweighs them
and will last forever
so we don't look at the
troubles we can see now
rather we fix our gaze on
things that cannot be
seen
for the things we see
now will soon be
gone but the
things we
cannot see will last
forever"
2 Corinthians 4:17~18
those days come...
the days when that which
in actuality is not so big
feels oh so big
and that which is minor feels so major
(and every heart honest
knows these days...
be they frequent
or infrequent)
and once one small
thing
incident
problem
situation
comes/happens
it would seem
the floodgates
of the above
mentioned
simply
open.
wide.
for does it not
seem that problems
multiply?
with really no help at all?
and what on one day
at one time
the heart can simply
brush off
laugh about
on another day
at another time
becomes a burden heavy
pressing on the soul
oh but this is where the
heart must make a choice
either accept that
which happens
with gratitude still intact
or allow the burdens to
weigh the heart down heavy
and really
if we accept the good
the joyful
the blessings
from His hand
should we not also
accept the not so good
the sorrowful
the painful
from His hand as well?
for does He not say to
give thanks in ALL things?
and does He not say that
He will never leave us
on our own?
and this is the time when His heart
whispers that the best is yet
to come...
that what is seen and felt
in the now
will one day be lost
in the glory of the then
and truly
if the eyes of the heart
the eyes of THIS heart
stop
thank
worship
returning one's gaze
to the essence of His heart
the floodgates of heaven
will open in drops of
joy
peace
grace
falling all around...
