Therefore, since we are surrounded
by such a huge crowd of witnesses to
the life of faith, let us strip off every
weight that slows us down, especially
the sin that so easily trips us up. And let
us run with endurance the race God has set
before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on
Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects
our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he
endured the cross, disregarding its shame.
Now he is seated in the place of honor beside
God's throne. Think of all the hostility he
endured from sinful people, then you won't
become weary and give up.
Hebrews 12:1-3
focusing our eyes on Jesus.
keeping our eyes on Him.
no matter what.
even when
and especially when it
makes no sense and
when the hurt hurts
oh so deeply and
the heart is left

in pieces.
and His whisper
thunders as His thunder
whispers...
"My precious child,
look up.
look up and see.
look up and gaze into My eyes
gazing down on you.
let all that weighs you down
fall
away.
allow Me to be
your entire world.
allow My love
to envelope all that is you.
your circumstances.
your weaknesses.
your failures.
your heart.
your life.
your will.
your. very. being.
simply abandon yourself to Me.
O beloved, let Me hold you!
let Me be your anchor
and your refuge in
the storm.
hear Me well, My child.
your eyes must stay fixed on Me, for
your heart cannot carry the burdens
which swirl around you.
let Me be the one to
lift the weight that
holds
you
down.
so often you walk
through your days with
one eye looking at Me and
the other looking at what at times
appears to you to be nothing short
of chaos.
and soon both eyes are
frantically trying to take
it all in and your heart
beats faster and faster
and your spirit
gives in to despair.
and the enemy
of every soul
is waiting for
this moment.
he has no power
to separate you from Me,
yet he is able to and will try
to steal the joy and peace
which I give to you.
he will attempt to
convince you that
all is lost, causing
My light in you to
slowly grow dim.
look up.
keep your eyes
and the eyes of your heart
fixed. on. Me.
come to Me, My beloved,
and I will give you rest.
I will give you strength and grace
for the race I have placed before you.
always I give grace for today.
always.
just. look. up."
