believe in the gift.
believe that the wait
is a gift.
believe in the One who
is giving the gift
of the wait.
believe: accept (something)
as true; feel sure of the truth of.
perhaps more importantly
believe and accept Someone
as true and truth.
and sometimes when the
wait goes on longer than
the heart thinks necessary,
the gift begins to feel not
so much like a gift but
rather almost as a
punishment.
and never, ever is the gift of the wait
a punishment
for Abba is love.
oh perhaps Abba is waiting
for the heart to truly
seek for Him.
or perhaps the heart already is
truly seeking Him,
and Abba waits for
a heart totally surrendered.
or perhaps His timing simply
does not line up with that
of the heart waiting.
whatever the purpose...
and chances are the heart
will never know the
exact reason...
Abba will always
use the gift of the
wait
as time to draw
the waiting heart closer
to His own heart.
and how can that not be a gift?
and this heart must hold tightly
to His promises to be faithful.
and believe.
simply believe.
"be still in the presence of the Lord
and wait patiently for him to act."
Psalm 37:7
