pinks to crimsons to golds
blue softly fading into darkness
a hush falls over as night falls
trees barren stand stark against
the glory of heaven's curtain rising
a taste so small of what awaits us
from sunset to sunrise
from sunrise to sunset
creation whispers of His glory
shouts of His glory
sings of His glory
"from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets
the name of the LORD is to be praised"
Psalm 113:3
no greater privilege
than worshiping our Abba
nothing draws hearts nearer to His own
than looking up
looking around
looking for gifts small and large
for blessings fall from His loving hands
every moment of every day
when the sun is shining
when joy presses the heart upward
when thanks
when worship
when blessing His name
come as natural as breathing
the name of the LORD is to be praised
when the heart is trying to see
through tears blinding
sometimes the pain so intense
the colors scribbled over in
grays and blacks
the loss so stunning
the words so devastating
leaving lungs with no air
crumpled hearts lie at His feet
the name of the LORD is to be praised
how does worship interlock with grief stabbing?
how can the heart so broken worship?
how can the lips declare praise
when the heart is asking why?
I have no answers...some questions simply have
no answers
yet this much I know...
His grace is sweetest when all feels graceless
His arms wrap most tightly when all feels lost
His voice is most tender when pain dulls the senses
His touch is most gentle when the heart runs from feeling
and feels like running
His grace is still sweet when all is well
His arms still hold tightly the singing heart
His voice still whispers through laughter joyful
His touch gentle is felt
when breezes caress
and sun shines warm
the beauty of His glory in colors ablaze
pierces the darkest of hearts
brightens even the lightest of hearts
revealing the beauty of His heart which transcends all understanding...
the heart of Jesus knows no boundaries
as His life
His love pours like the rain
into every heart
open to receive
His own heart
