new normals
something we
seek out.
rather,
they seem to find us,
often invading and
radically changing
everything we know.
we are left stunned.
and it is nearly impossible
to not question God.
to ask that small yet
all encompassing word:
why?
over
and
over.
and honestly,
His answers do not
always satisfy.
for
how do you understand
the ununderstandable?
how do you comprehend
the incomprehensible?
enough to hear, He whispers,
"My beloved child,
I am here.
I am closer
than your next breath,
your next heartbeat.
I. am. here.
no pain is without purpose.
no pain is ever wasted.
every lonely moment,
every heartbreak,
every tear cried,
are being woven
into the very fabric
of your heart with a
delicacy unimaginable.
not for one moment
have I or will I let go.
the story of your life
is being formed into
a living, breathing testimony.
an exquisite love story,
written before
time began
by
My
hand.
do not be afraid.
do not fear the
departure from
what you know,
for you can be assured
that the unknown is
not unknown to Me.
nothing can separate
you from Me.
no place on earth,
no emotion felt,
no court room,
no hospital room,
no darkness black
exists where My light,
My love,
My peace,
My comfort
are not.
for I AM.
and I am for you,
not against you.
in time that which
feels so wrong today
will be embraceable
as the beauty of your
story unfolds."

And I am convinced that nothing can
ever separate us from God's love.
Neither death nor life,
neither angels nor demons,
neither our fears for today
nor our worries about tomorrow ~
not even the powers of hell can
separate us from God's love.
No power in the sky above
or in the earth below~
indeed, nothing in all creation
will ever be able to separate
us from the love of God that
is revealed in Christ Jesus,
our Lord.
