"For I hold you by your right hand ~
I, the LORD your God.
And I say to you,
'Don't be afraid. I am here to help you.'"
Isaiah 41:13
just take it in for a moment.
"...I hold you by your right hand..."
allow the picture painted
by these seven words to
fully permeate your mind.
your heart. your spirit.
your very being.
these words cause this heart
to skip a beat.
He holds my hand.
He holds your hand.
a promise
to which all hearts
can cling
no matter what.
and as He holds with a
tenderness gripping, He whispers
your name and my name:
"My child,
I see your heart so weary.
come and rest awhile.
do not be afraid of the battle,
for no matter what rages around
or within,
the victory is Mine.
and because you are Mine,
the victory is yours as well!
the darkness pressing
cannot consume
nor defeat nor crush
for I am light
and light always
extinguishes the dark!
no matter the circumstance,
no matter the depth of pain,
remember always that you are not alone. ever.
always I hear the prayers of your heart
and always I answer each one.
My timing is not always as you would have,
and those answers which appear to
make no sense in this moment
do indeed have a purpose,
My beloved one,
and always I am drawing you
ever closer to My heart.
sometimes I use that which
appears to be unredeemable
to begin My greatest work of all.
redemption.
and every loss or heartache
or broken promise
or shattered dream
will instill within your own heart
the sensitivity and capacity to walk
with another heart through a storm
not unlike your own.
so do not be afraid
and do not be discouraged,
for I am holding your hand
and embracing your heart. forever."
