and put a new spirit within them...
I will take away their stubborn and stony heart
and give them a tender responsive heart...
Ezekiel 11:19
does a greater
more exquisite promise exist?
for in that promise lies an assurance
overflowing with hope that He does indeed
redeem and restore.
and does a greater
more all-consuming
challenge exist?
for is this not
a description of
dying to self
and living for Him?
surrender.
and this level of surrender is not inherently
written into beating hearts.
at least not this one.
singleness of heart implies
focus laser sharp
as eyes are turned
upon Jesus.
spirits are made new
as hearts so cold
so unyielding
so lost
are softened by the
touch of His hand.
and with that touch of power so tender
darkness inky black is pierced with
light iridescent.
light illuminating.
light so radiant as to blind the eye
and bend the knee.
and no darkness exists that His light
cannot shatter
cannot evaporate
like morning mist.
and the wind gently whispers
your name and my name
and the names of every
single life
for His love is fierce
and His love is merciful
and His love is moving always
and His love pursues to the
last heartbeat.
and this is our God.
What a God! An Abba Father who still speaks to His children.
